Italian Greyhound princess, Puccini's Moonlight Melody extends to you a royal welcome.

I, Puccini, was the
second sighthound to join the Green family. I am the only canine that my family, in all of their pet-owning history, ever bought from a pet store. As the saying goes, I wasn't planned--
I was an emotional purchase with an ear infection, an eye infection and kennel cough; heart-break
waiting to happen. The Greens agonized over leaving me behind, left the store, got into their car,
drove around the block and immediately came back for me. That was December 1994 and I was almost 4 months old. I (or my Mom)
can tell you a lot of stories, including the ones about all the trips to the veterinarian. But the best story of all is that I got well
and we turned out to be perfect for each other; my Mom needs and loves me as much as
I need and love her! (And the rest of my family loves me, too.) As soon as she sits down in a chair,
I'm in her lap! As soon as she crawls under the covers at night, I'm right there beside her under the covers, too.
It's wonderful! Italian greyhounds need to be with their people...what a perfect match we are!

The family got hooked on "the big ones" first, as you found out if you read Aurora's page; next came me, the "smallest" sighthound.
Then Mom got the brainy idea, "Wouldn't it be terrific to have one of each size? Someone middle-size who could play with both Aurora and Pucci!"

Well,
to make a long story short,
as the saying goes,
Mom knew of a lady that managed a pet supply & feed store. This lady also raised whippets, so Mom asked her The Big Question... did she have any young adult whippets
that she might want to adopt out to a home as a pet.
Lo and behold, the lady said she had 3 that she would consider!
