***HUGE NEWS!!!***SB63 Passes in Massachusetts-September 6, 2007! http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/seslaw07/sl070109.htm as of Dec 5, 2007 adoptees are now able to obtain identifying informaton from their original birthcertificate. Vital Records Office Information is located here (link> Registry of Vital Records and Statistics Instructions & Application can be found by going to the main page of the site above, then to Publications. From there click on the link that reads Chapter 109 of the Acts of 2007: An Act Further Regulating Access to Birth Certificates. From there go to Documents and there are two links for information & an application. I cannot get the links to work on this page, but the above instructions should get you exactly where you need to go. After you have seen or have a copy of your birthcertificate go to this link Tips or here http://hometown.aol.com/Espaura/tips.html for what to do next.
**ATTENTION** After 11 years of creating & maintaining this registry I now find myself in the position of needing to close this site down. SB63, the new adoption law for Massachusetts now enables adoptees to obtain their original birth certificates. I am receiving feedback that many of you are locating your biological relatives. Times have changed & THE MASSACHUSETTS ADOPTION & REUNION REGISTRY's is no longer necessary to facilitate reunions. As so many of you are aware I have been running this site all by myself for 11 years. I am totally exhausted and my family needs my attention.
At this point in time I am going to leave the registrations I received up until today June 5, 2008 online. Therefore the registry will be searchable at least until Sept 1, 2008.
All email, updates and new registrations that are currently waiting in my inbox (some very old) I WILL respond to as soon as I am able. But I will no longer be accepting new registrations, online updates or responding to email after June 5, 2008. Any updates received after this date can only be placed in your offline file. FYI- After a period of time I will be taking the entire site offline.
Please forgive me friends but I am about to collapse.
If there is anyone out there who would like to take on this site please email themassregistry@aol.com. If you are smart & very serious I will consider passing this site on to someone else who really cares. This person would need to know how to publish webpages have a server that can handle 138 pages.

This is a FREE adoption reunion registry exclusively for Massachusetts adoptees-birthparents-siblings & relatives of... currently in search. But you may find a few "strays" here; people searching for someone they have good reason believe may be in MA or adoptees born out of state that now live in MA, also birthmothers who resided in MA at time of birth or now reside in MA. So by all means if you are an adoptee, birthparent, relative or sibling searching anywhere, you should check the page that corresponds with the correct date of birth.
5,511 registrations have been posted at this site since it's creation in May of 1997.. Hundreds of these have been reunited through this site.

Please not Do NOT post MA searches here however you can post a personal message to the person you are searching for-adoption related or not. My guestbook is now located here.
Also, If you are posted at this site please check to see that your email and contact info is up to date. I have many posts currently online that are matches that I cannot make contact with because of invalid emails. It is always wise to give me your phone or address for my private file.
I also want to let you all know that I am not always able to check the registry for matches, so please check the registry frequently to see if a match came in and I missed it.

Now many of your write to me to thank me profusely.... Please everyone, do not thank me. Just THANK GOD, as He is the one that decides which lost souls shall be reunited.. I encourage you to talk to HIM.. Not necessarily in a church, but alone, perhaps in bed before you close your eyes each night, whenever & wherever you can. I know for a fact that HE listens and if you just give HIM your faith, your prayers will be answered.. OH COULD I TELL YOU A STORY!
I always also make a point of thanking HIM for all that he has given me. And HIS gifts to me go on and on!!
