It was all out melodic madness yesterday as the Archduke of Dorkyness himself, Leo Laporte, was yet again foiled in his quest for world domination. In an attempt to spread his evil influence throughout the entire music industry, Laporte enlisted the assistance of a mysterious musician known as Fanny DiStanko. Apparently his plan was to interweave Laportean propaganda into DiStanko's songs and slowly mold her fans into mindless, drooling Linux Zombies. However, during a top secret recording session, Laporte and long time DiStanko fan Kate Botello soon realized that DiStanko's singing abilities were GREATLY exaggerated. After a mere 26 seconds of the vocal bombardment, Laporte fired DiStanko. Angered by her rejection, DiStanko summoned her two most devious hench-women, Danyelle Mullinax and Janell Fabor (seen here in a group photo) to detain Laporte and Botello until her private concert was finished. Several hours of mind numbing 'music' followed. Fortunately for them, Laporte and Botello were rescued by what appeared to be a flying purple monkey only minutes before their minds were completely formatted by DiStanko's evil ballads. Who or what is this purple monkey, and what is his interest in Laporte? Only time will tell...
