"Aware of the suffering caused by unmindful speech and the inability to listen to others, I am committed to cultivating loving speech and deep listening in order to bring joy and happpiness to others and relieve others of their suffering. Knowing that words can create happiness or suffering, I am determined to speak truthfully, with words that inspire self-confidence, joy, and hope. I will not spread news that I do not know to be certain and will not criticize or condem things of which I am not sure. I will refrain from uttering words that can cause division or discord, or that can cause the family or the community to break. I am determined to make all efforts to reconcile and resolve all conflicts, however small."

Easy Yoga for Emotional Balance
Sit cross-legged with the spine straight. Rest the left hand on the left knee, with the tips of the thumb and index finger touching. Close the eyes and block the right nostril wit the right thumb, with the rest of the fingers straight up. Inhale deeply through the left nostril. when the breath is full, extend the right pinkie over to block the left nostril. When the breath is completely exhaled, begin the cycle again, inhaling through the left nostril. Continue for 11 minutes. take a few deep breath and relax.
Whenever thoughts and emotions arise in meditation, allow them to rise and settle, like the waves in the ocean. Whatever you find yourself thinking, let that thought rise and settle, without any constraint. Don't grasp at it, feed it, or indulge it, don't cling to it, and don't try to solidify it. Neither follow thoughts nor invite them; be like the ocean looking at its own waves, or the sky gazing down on the clouds that pass across it.
You will soon find that thoughts are like the wind, they come and go. The secret is not to "think" about the thoughts but to allow them to flow through your mind, while keeping your mind free of afterthoughts.

Soyez bien, mon Dieu, qui donnez la souffrance
Comme un diviin remede a nos impuretes
Et comme la meilleure et la plus pure essence
Qui prepare les forts aux saintes voluptes!
(Be blessed, oh my God, who givest suffering
As the only divine remedy for our folly
As the highest and purest essence preparing
The strong in spirit for ecstasies most holy.)
Charles Baudelaire

Les Fleurs du Mal
ln the time of war
Raise in yourself the Mind of Compassion
Help living beings
Abandon the will to fight
Wherever there is furious battle
Use all your might
To keep both sides' strength equal
And then step into the conflict to reconcile

Words can travel thousands of miles.
May my words create mutual understanding and love.
May they be as beautiful as gems,
as lovely as flowers.
