The Traveller science fiction role-playing game was originally published in 1977. It has progressed through four (almost five) editions: Classic Traveller (CT), MegaTraveller (MT), The New Era (TNE), Traveller (T4), and (upcoming in late 1999) T5. Traveller has two major components: the game rules (which tell how characters are created, how conflict is resolved, details the worlds of the universe, how machines and vehicles work), and the background (detailing the history of the universe). |
