I have two scripts that I hope you'll want to read, a sitcom pilot and a feature screenplay. The pilot, "The Sexy & The Sinful," is about a mother and a daughter. The daughter goes to a fancy prep school and wants to be an actress. The mother is the creator and head writer of America's favorite soap opera, "The Sexy & The Sinful." The mother has created a character on the show that is directly based on her own daughter, and whenever anything happens to the daughter in real life, the mother immediately appropriates it for use on the show. As the daughter puts it, "Mother feels that plagiarism begins at home." The feature screenplay is called "The Big Break." A beautiful young dancer is about to get the part of her dreams on Broadway when she's run over by a car, breaking her leg in twelve places. The trouble is that the man who ran her over with his car turns out to be the man of her dreams, and the two of them fall in love while she's in the process of suing him for everything he's got. It's a romantic comedy with singing and dancing, and would make a great date movie. About myself, briefly: after a few years at Newsweek I moved over to Time magazine two years ago. I'm single and live in the East Village, but would be interested in relocating to L.A. after one or both of these scripts sell. I look forward to discussing their possibilities with you.
