With all of the problems our youth face today, why not become part of the solution?
What is the Purpose of 4-H?
To help youth develop into responsible, self-directed, productive citizens of the world, and to improve the well-being of youth and society through the use of research-based, learn-by-doing educational experiences.
Do You Have 12 Hours A Year to Spare?
That's all we ask...six hours for planning and six hours for 6 one-hour meetings per year.
Who Can Be A 4-H Leader?
Anyone with a skill to share! Are you a woodworker? Do you have a knack for crafts? Are your strengths in computers, public speaking, genealogy, writing or gardening? We also need assistant leaders and adults willing to share their time with young people.
Characteristics Needed in a 4-H Leader
Why Are 4-H Projects Important?
Project work helps members:
I Don't Know Whether I Can Do It...
You can if you have an interest in boys and girls and an interest in the project. Many of our best project leaders are those that learn along with the members. There is plenty of help for the asking - 4-H literature, other leaders, and county advisors are just a few that are readily available.
