In the episode "Root of All Evil", Amanda Harrington was an ancient wealthy widow who was almost thrown into a cursed mulcher by one of her new gardeners who wanted to turn her wrinkled flesh into crisp cash. In the episode "Repetitions", Mrs. Cromwell was murdered by her son, Walter (David Ferry), but her soul appeared in a cursed cameo locket and continuously called out to him, nagging at her son to take another life so that she could regain her mortality. Kay Tremblay, the Canadian actress who played the roles of Amanda Harrington and Mrs. Cromwell, has a film career that spans over thirty years. In 1964, she was cast in the 30-minute Canadian film "Phoebe", which won five awards (including Montreal and New York). In 1990, she played the role of Aunt Eliza in the popular television series "Road to Avonlea", and for which she received a Gemini nomination in 1997 for "Best Performance by an actress in a featured supporting role in a dramatic series". In 1998 she reprised her role as Aunt Eliza in a two-hour made-for-TV movie "Happy Christmas, Miss King" which was based on the Road to Avonlea series. She has also appeared in commercials for Nestle Crunch and Lipton Soupworks. NOTABLE TV GUEST APPEARANCES:
