Ms. Simms Leslie Kent
The Inheritance
What a Mother Wouldn't Do

In the episode "The Inheritance," Mrs. Simms was an overbearing stepmother to her husband's little girl, Mary. She was domineering and constantly reminded Mary and Mr. Simms "who wore the pants in the family." When Mr. Simms bought Mary an antique doll, Vita, from Curious Goods, Vita helped Mary get rid of her stepmother by using psychokenesis to make her fall down a staircase sending her to the hospital, then finishing her off there with a fatal heart attack.

In the episode "What A Mother Wouldn't Do," Leslie Kent was distraught when she learned that her newborn would not likely survive and that she would have to abort it. Uncle Lewis gave Mrs. Kent a cursed cradle from the Titanic and instructed her to take seven lives, in water, so that the baby would survive and be healthy. Mrs. Kent, along with her husband, followed through with Lewis' orders, and Ryan was the intended seventh victim. When Mrs. Kent learned that Ryan had survived her attack, she leapt to her death in order to save her baby.
