Eddie Anderson

Born in 1905, the gravelly black character comic, who died in 1977, starred for decades on radio's "Jack Benny Show",*which also costarred in many roles Mel Blanc, the main WB and in similiar ubiquity, many HB voices on the FLINSTONES as well. His catchlines; "Yeah Boss". (A phrase WB used MANY times in cartoons!)

Far from being a stereotype (and Mel Blanc in a sometimes flawed book THAT'S NOT ALL, FOLKS,1988,WB BOOKS says as much here) Rochester has the last laugh, but so did Kingfish, both of whom were similiar crafty minorities (some African activists though will NEVER be pleased.)

*Another veteran from JBS,Andy Devine was also born in 1905 and died in 1977 as well!
