Mary was confirmed in 1858 and listed as "Sick": She must have died soon after as she was not on the 1860 Census with family in Texas. Ky. married # 1.Mary BELL, 18 Dec. 1873, Anderson County, Tx. daughter of Oscar Bell and Sarah Jane Vaught . Stephen died 24 April 1921 , Anderson Co.Tx Buried Judson Cemetery, Anderson County, TX,.(Served in Civil War )His second wife , Martha (Mattie) Elizabeth SPIVEY, said on her widows application for a pension that she had lived in the state since June 1855. and that she was born 26 June, 1855.( Her headstone says born 1858 and so do Branson family Bible)) She stated she lived in Anderson Co. all her life. She lived at Route 2, Palestine, Tx. when she applied for Pension in September, 1932. (In her application she said she married Stephen 12 Dec. 1888.) I have found no death record for Mary BELL.
