As I said in Man of the Year - George W. Bush, political news in 2001 has been dominated by President Bush. In some cases, he’s done very well. In others, I think he could have done better. For good and for bad, he’s been the president that he promised to be. He pushed passage of a tax cut and made a tough and interesting call on embryonic stem cell research. Obviously, he’s led our country through the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington. When I consider the alternative, I’m still thankful that he is the president.
