WAGGGS Patch Program
Tierra del Oro Girl Scout Council



Program Purpose:

The WAGGGS patch program is to help girls learn, in depth, about a member country of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and to better understand the meaning of International Friendship.

Program Requirements:

Brownie Girl Scouts - Complete 4 activities listed below.
Junior Girl Scouts - Complete 6 activities listed below.
Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts - Complete 8 activities listed below.


1. Participate in a Thinking Day program with another troop or with a service unit.

2. Select a country who is a member of WAGGGS and learn all you can about that country.

3. Learn about that country’s holidays and celebrate at least one of their customs.

4. Invite a person from the country of your choice to talk with the troop about customs, clothing, etc.

5. Find out about and contribute to the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund.

6. Participate in three activities from the Contemporay Issues: Valuing Differences.

7. Do two activities from a Try-It, Badge or Interest Project Patch from the World of People.

8. Plan, carry out and evaluate a multi-cultural event for others.

9. Find out about and make a display of the four world centers.
