MY RIEKE ANCESTORS

Please have a look - you might see some familiar names!
My Rieke ancestry has enough documented roots in other families to defeat any attempt at making it look coherent on a web page!

The information here was gleaned from church records long ago by my distant cousin, David Koss, another Rieke descendant.

The Rieke Family in Sonneborn

Hans Rieke was a forest ranger in Uhlental bei Sonneborn in 1653. (Or that may be the year of his death!)

The Rieke men were world travelers, all but Christopher having gone to Australia for a few years. Christopher & his sisters all came to Barrington, Illinois, as did the rest of the brothers, finally.

Christopher eventually moved to Blairstown, Iowa. Ernest & his wife spent quite a few years in Chester, Nebraska.
