Those Present: Donna and Kenny B., Lew and Sharon G., Danny and Nancy, Bob, Jen, Andy, Rachael

Report: I wrote most of my report as it was happening, or at a slow time during the investigation;

We arrived here at about 3:15 with Bob. We were full from some great cheese steaks from Steve's and were ready to hunt some ghosts. We waited till the visitors were out of the Fort and moved all our gear inside the casemates at about 4:15. Then everyone walked about to get the feel of the place.

The fort has 7 buildings. 1- an officer's quarters, 2- a soldiers barracks, 3- a gift shop/restrooms, 4- The commander's house (witch is in ruins right now), 5- a storage building that looks like a stable, 6- a blacksmith's shop, 7- and another small building holding some old cannons. There is a powder magazine that looks more like a mound of dirt with a doorway. The casemates that we are staying in are underground, near the front of the fort.

Bob just walked out of the casemates and told me that he spotted two orbs in there. He was using his night-vision scope when he spotted them. I must mention that there are 5 casemates (these were where they kept prisoners) and there is only artificial light in the hallway. None of the actual rooms are lit with any light, so use of flashlights or night-vision is necessary.

Everything is pretty quite right now at about 6p.m.

At about 7:30 I had my first experience. I took of by myself, as I usually do, and found myself in the doorway to the powder magazine. The last time we were here Lew had seen a man poke his head out and look at him. So I decided to sit down in here and let myself relax. I've found that if I force myself to calm down and breathe slow and deep, that my mind opens up and become more sensitive and aware. So after a few minutes of talking myself down I began to say "Hello?" I think I said it 3 or 4 times when I got a "Hello" back. It sounded like a boy, maybe of 15 or 16 years. I sat still looking at the wall across from me. I noticed there was something in the far corner of the room. It was a figure of a man crouching down; holding what I would guess was a rifle in his right hand. I didn't look directly at him. Nothing was said for about a minute. I was just going to ask him his name when I was hit with a wave of emotion. It hit me like a truck. I felt a great loss, a great sadness, as if I had lost my only friend. I could feel tears falling down my face. I got choked up and I needed to get out of there. In a hurry, I grabbed my things and walked out. I walked up to Donna and Bob. When I tried to tell them what went on I kept feeling those strong emotions. It took a few minutes, but I related the events to them. Bob went to place his tape recorder in the magazine while I went with Donna in to the casemates to calm down.

After a few minutes I felt better and I walked up the steps to sit over the main gate. I wrote most of the above report there and when I stopped and looked up to see Bob, Sharon, and Andy over by the powder magazine. Andy and Sharon walked into the magazine and about a minute later I saw them RUN out. Hot on their tails was an orb. It was a large orb that shot out the doorway, over their heads and passes Andy, who was now standing a few yards away. It made a sharp stop, changed direction and shot back into the doorway.

Donna and Bob were in the casemates when they heard a girls voice say " hi mom".

At about 10:45, Donna, Danny and I were walking along the wall when Danny noticed a light on in an upstairs window of the soldiers quarters. It was a yellow light in only one window. The upstairs was not open to us at this time. The door was locked. We jumped down off the wall and ran across the yard and by the time we got there the light was out. We told the others what we saw and found that Bob, Nancy and Jen were walking on the wall and they said that they had looked in the windows with a flashlight. We experimented with a flashlight and it did not produce the same effect we had witnessed. We the gained access to the second floor and found that it was not a light from here, due to the fact that one switch turned on all the NEON, WHITE lights. There are no walls to separate any rooms up there. So any light should have shown through all the windows, unless of course it was light from a lantern. The window we saw the light is where the ghost of the lamp lighter has been seen. This ghost has been seen still lighting the lamps that USED to be here when the fort was active.

Not much else happened the rest of the night. The others had heard a scream for the sallyports. The rest of the night we sat at different places and kept watch. All was quiet the rest of the night.

Impression: My impression is still the same as my last report. This fort is definitely active. I feel there are many spirits still wandering around here. The boy in the powder magazine is sad about losing a friend. I think that is what is keeping him here. Maybe he's still looking for him and doesn't know where to go. The voice that Bob and Donna heard might be the same little girl that has been photographed here by others. I would like to stay overnight again to see if we could duplicate the success the others and I had. Although none of the pictures showed anything I did get a sound like a little girl crying in the powder magazine. This was captured on video, although no sightings, just the voice.

Kenny B.

I would like to thank the staff for allowing us the chance to stay over and do what we like to do. It was a great time for all of us.

I would also like to thank the re-enactors for the great stories about the ghosts in the fort.
