Sports Night Scripts 
NOTE: I've had several requests for paper copies of the original scripts. I'm
happy to make copies for the cost of reproduction and postage, so if you would like any
particular episode in hard copy, drop me a line.
These are scripts, not transcripts, and therefore may occasionally differ subtly or
considerably from the broadcast episode. The date and version of the script (when
available) is noted under the title. All scripts are exactly as written, including all
typos, misspellings and grammatical errors. :-)
Please note: I put scripts up on this page as I obtain them, but I can't get a hold of
them all. If you have an original Sports Night shooting script and are willing to make a
photocopy of it for me, I'd be thrilled to put it up on the site. Otherwise, just wait for
me to scrounge them another way. :-)
This is an early draft of the Pilot script, dated 1/12/98, and is drastically

This script is a final draft ("Yellow" copy) and is close in content to
the transcript -- but with a number of lines/scenes not seen on TV.
This script is a 3rd rev. (Yellow) draft and is mostly identical to the onscreen
episode, with minor differences.
This script is a table draft ("Pink" copy), dated 12/10/98.
This is the 8th rev. (Lilac) draft, dated 2/11/99.
This is the original script (1st rev. Blue Draft) of this episode, before it was
rewritten due to Robert Guillaume's stroke. Dated 1/11/99.
