These 7/8" Contempory Marbles were purchased in San Francisco. I think the manufacturer is Mega Marbles, but I'm not sure. The 5/8" Mega Marble "Wave Breaker" is thrown in for a size comparison.

This "Popeye" is a beautiful bright orange with white strands showing through a bright green transparent glass. I'm not sure if this combination qualifies for a full fledged popeye, but if it's not a popeye, what is it? Condition: Mint Minus, 11/16"

April 11 1999 -- Questions?

I buy the case for around $7 construct the partitions from Crescent Board, Black Illustration Board and Museum Board. This is the best Showy way to display large groups of marbles. (Some collectors simply use the cases as they come from the store with the foam inserts and dink around with aligning a few of their best marbles in them -- my experience is that it's hard to line them up neat, especcially if you like to handle the marbles.) My method, although labor intesive works for showing off larger groups of marbles. I like to collect a line of each type and display them in groups of 10 or so.)

The finished condition of these cases approaches Museum Quality.

The case measures 8 1/4" x 12 1/4", has a glass cover. The scanner bed is not quite the same size, so this photo is cut off a bit -- the top matches the bottom.
