On May 13, 1997 the 7th Annual Night of 1000 Stevies was held at Club Jackie60 in New York City. This event is attended by devoted fans, many of whom - male and female alike - dress up in their favourite Stevie costume as do the staff of the club. There is a stage set up for live performances by impersonators, with Stevie music being piped into each room of the club. Doves and tambourines dangled from the ceiling, shawls were draped over mirrors and posters of Stevie were on all the walls.
My dear friend Michele and I travelled from Ohio, and Pennsylvania, respectively for this event and what a night it was!!! Hope to see all of you there next year!
