so, this turned out to be the day from hell....but with a happy ending. ahhahahhahaha

so, first tori show. Again, guys. My FIRST tori show. EVER. I was still, at that time, a fairly new Tori fan. I had only gotten my first Tori album in December of '95 and I had bought LE only 3 months earlier (geez...what was i ON?), so I was still. getting acquainted with everything. Novice me. heh.

and so, I find out Tori's coming! And at first...I really didn't care!! ahahahahahhaaa I mean, I was *happy* to hear that she was coming, but...it wasn't really a priority of mine to see her. If I missed it, big deal. She would come back. (that was in March....when I heard. yep.)

then, by May...i was *reeling*!!!! I had become soooo much more of a fan and I *finally* snapped out of it and decided that i HAD. TO. GET. TO. THAT. SHOW. but, then a girl at school told me that she heard that the show was sold out. 'WHAT?'. errrrrrrrrrrrr......blarg. but then, later that week a very good friend of mine (who will remain nameless....this is the past. i'm not mad anymore. heh.) said that he knew someone who knew someone that may or may not have an extra ticket depending on whether or not this one person could use it...blah blah blah. that guy asked my friend if he knew anyone who could use that ticket and i was all immediately, "ME! ME! it's MINE!". my friend said that he would tell that guy this and that he would keep me updated on the whole thing. soooo.......

the day arrives. and i had heard *nothing* from my friend. at all. i felt sick.

i had only one purpose that day: glueing myself to the phone. i was *not* going to miss a call for ANYTHING. but, the thing was...i had a dentist appointment that day. i was going to have to leave sometime and my mom would NOT let me skip out on it. ugh. killmenow. and i eventually had to BATHE which meant i had to be away from the phone for awhile....UGH! i was a mess.

then my mom came to pick me up for my appointment. the whole way there, i was a wreck. in the dentists office, i was a wreck. after i was done with my appointment, i was all over their phone, calling my friend every 10 min. no answer. no answer. no answer. die. die. die.

and then it was time to leave the office and in the car i crying and whining and hitting myself and oh GOD. it was such DRAMA! hahahahaha

i told my mom that we had to drive by my friends house and figure out what the heck was going on. and so we get there and i'm ringing the doorbell and pounding on the door...nothing. holy mother.

eventually, i gave up and went back in the car. we decided to go home.

so, i'm in the car...totally exhausted and feeling like complete crap. and we are listening to the radio and they played tori (bastards...rub it in) and right after that the dj came on the radio and talked about the concert being sold out and THEN she said that tori's management had *just* opened up some last minute seats......

that was all i had to hear. "MOM! I"M GOING!!" my mom was all, "you aren't going by yourself!" and i was all, "well........................?????" and then she went, "i wanna go, too!!!" ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! luckly there was a ticketmaster outlet minutes away from us so we went racing there and we got there and i ran in and there was a LINE! and my mom finally caught up with me and i was freaking out and those people were taking FOREVER and i was about to kill them all and FINALLY it was my turn and i said "iwanttwotoritickets".....the guys was all, "what?". i took a deep breath and said sloooooooowwwllyyy, "i want two tori tickets.". he showed me what he had....and they were ass seats and i didn't care. i was about to buy them and he goes, "oh wait!! some really good seats just opened up!" so i was like, "AAH!! i want those instead!". and i got them.

and we went racing home because it was 6:30 and the show was to start at 8pm. i had to get extra money and change my clothes and so did my mom and we did this in record time and then we were off!! we listened to little earthquakes on the way there and we *finally* got there (after a couple wrong turns) and we had to find parking and all that and then we FINALLY got out of the car and up to the front entrance of Memorial Hall (the venue...der.) and GUESS WHO I SEE SITTING ON THE FRONT STEPS? (not tori, you freaks) my friend. the guy who had put my through AGONY for the entire day.......but. I. DIDN'T. CARE. i had kickass seats and i was NOT about to let him ruin it for me. because i'm oh-so classy, i just said 'hello' and i walked on in. hahahhahahhaa he was NOT expecting to see me and you should have seen the look on his face. ahahhahha he looked so guilty.

so, we got in there and it was a *zoo*. i wanted a shirt SO BAD, so we found a merchandise booth and i got a shirt and a program. and as i was buying them, the lights went down and the crowd went crazy and i practically threw my money at the merchandise lady and ran out of there. we found our seats (not bad at all! first balcony....GREAT view) and watched Willy Porter rock all that is cool and my heart was pounding something awful and then his set was over and the lights went up and the zeppelin songs came and i was on edge trying to calm myself down and then the lights went down and then, "AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

she came out wearing a light colored, long sleeved, tight shirt-thingie and jeans and her hair was pulled up into a messy ponytail.

"heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyy.......heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyy......sheeeeeeeeeeeee's a. beauuuuuuutyyyyyy queen......". i was floating.

i honestly don't remember much about this show. (i do have a tape of it, but that would be cheating. HA!) it was a TOTAL blur for me. i was in a whole other dimension, i think. and by golly, *i did not want it to end*.

and the lights went up and i was completely numb. i couldn't believe what had just happened. i didn't want to LEAVE! but, i did. and i was floating for months after that show. hee.

so. yay!!! wasn't that fun? ahhahahahhahhaa
