Well, I'm sure it's the height of vanity on my part, but I thought perhaps my readers would like to know a little more about me, your devoted and humble reviewer, Julia Houston. So read on, if you dare!

This is a picture of me! Yes, I was in Italy not long ago visiting my friend, Faby, when I stopped at this divine little workshop that reminded me of something I saw in a certain captain's holoprogram. Anyway, when I saw the artist's other drawings of such celebrities as Joan Collins and Willie Nelson, I just had to have my portrait done too. And I must say, it looks just like me.

This is a snap of me from the booth in Boomtown Casino. It doesn't look like me at all.

Many people have asked me what sort of computer system I have, so I've also included a picture of my Acer Aspire with Windows 95.

Many people have asked if I like any of the other Trek besides Voyager, and I'm happy to report that I like all the Treks very much. In fact, the other day I was able to visit the original U.S.S. Enterprise, and was even allowed to play my cello for the crew. Here I have a photo of the captain suggesting that I stop my recital and have some cake.

It may interest you to know that while I read fanfic and offer advice (welcome or not) all the time, I am also available for hire. Having spent most of the last fifteen years or so typing on computers for one reason or another, I am available for work as an editor, reviewer, or website advisor. (My resume is available as well on request.) I can do either the surface editing of correcting spelling and grammar and format, or, if you prefer, deep editing which also includes suggestions on style, polish, and even, if you want, content. I have experience editing all sorts of manuscipts, from academic, to fiction, to legal.

I am also available for help with academic papers (though this is not some code for saying I'll write them). I can advise you on research, format, and content on essays of all types.

My reasonable fee varies somewhat with what you want done and the state of the original documents. Scribbles on tissue paper are a bit more time-consuming than a document on Word 6.0. All prices are worked out in advance so there are no unpleasant surprises. I work either through snail or e-mail, depending on your preferences.

Anyway, if this sounds like something you'd like, or if you want to see my resume, write me: Homespon@aol.com.

Don't believe I'm worth it? Listen to these glowing testimonials.

"Before I had Julia create my website, no one would pray to me. Now I have more offerings than I know what to do with." -- H'bur of the Valley People.

"Those FBI agents were following me everywhere! After Julia helped me draft a letter of protest, no one who works for the government can come within fifty yards of me!" -- Imaniball of Alpha Centauri.

"No one took my promises of Hellfire seriously until Julia corrected my spelling." -- Grekad the Merciless.

"Look into my eyes! Julia's wonderful, I tell you! Wonderful!" -- The Great and Powerful Chad.

And now, it's the credits!

That "Barney vs Star Trek" wav and others of its kind come from The Church of Barney.

The frightening Shatner doing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is from Everything I Ever Needed to Know I Learned from Star Trek.

And where would I be, of course, without Yahoo!?
