Howard established the name for our kennel, because he truly had a heart of gold. He did everything we asked of him, always with a gleam in his eye, from the show ring, to obedience, to therapy work, to just being a good friend and companion. He taught me a lot in our years together.

We escorted Howard to the Rainbow Bridge in early June, 2000. Though he led a long and eventful life, it was still so very difficult to say goodbye. He was our first....and without a doubt, our finest.

Heart of Gold has been in Cardigans since 1986 and strives to produce a multi- faceted companion. Versatility is our goal, with temperament being of utmost importance. We currently have 14 Cardigans, all living as family members in our home. We are active in conformation, obedience and herding... and have finally entered the world of agility! Our Wilbarger began his training in late 2004 followed by Harley a year later.
