Some older (1996) version of the CD Rom need to have a "patch" installed. To check to see if you need the patch, go to your Scrabble game; then go to menu and go to "play" and see if "chat" is listed. If "chat" is listed (it won't be highlighted), then you don't need the patch. If "chat" is not listed you need to download the patch. Click here for CD Rom Patch Page thru the Official Scrabble site. It is 2600kb and takes 30 minutes to download on a 14K modem in the middle of the night. This patch updates files for on-line play and fixes minor bugs!
MAC Users: There is a mac version of "The patch", which takes care of some minor bugs (It still cannot play over internet). It is available by calling Hasbro at 1-800-997-7455. They will mail it to you using the post office, as it is not available online. Have heard from two sources who spoke with Hasbro Tech and said they no longer support MAC users for on-line/internet play.
AOL users: You need AOL95, not aol for windows, which is different; go to KEYWORD - "GET95"
