The Geneology Of Neseramun

The Cairo statue 42224 was dedicated under a king Usimare Osorkon. This is Osorkon III.  On it is the geneology of Neseramun.  Eight generations above Neseramun is a king Shoshenq. Although which Shoshenq is not identified on the statue, the king can be identified by a process of elimination. It cannot be Sheshonq III , IV  or V as they are too close in time to Osorkon III indeed some are later.  The gap being eight generations means that we have to be looking at a very early Sheshonq.  Even Sheshonq II can probably be excluded as being 2 generations after Sheshonq I and too close in time to the reign of Osorkon III.

One generation above this king Sheshonq is a man named Nespaqashuty son of Bakenkhons whose name features on the dockets added to Ramesses I & II during the year 10 of king Siamun from the cache of DB 320.  This alone confirms that Sheshonq I comes roughly one generation after king Siamun. Therefore prooving that the dyanasties cannot be significantly overlapped.
