Welcome to In Word Journey.
This web site has been created to share a few insights that might help resolve some questions for you on human existence. Hopefully it will stimulate you to look to the Source within you for guidance and confirmation of truth that can be appropriated by new perspectives.
About twenty years ago (I’m now in my 70’s) I started a fresh examination of many of the religious and cultural values of my earlier life. In doing so I was responding in a new openness to the many changes in consciousness that confront us today. I moved from a defensive and alienated stance towards such changes to one of expanding awareness and positive integrations.
Most of what I write is written from a New Testament point of view. I also occasionally touch other fields such as philosophy, metaphysics, psychology, the arts and general culture. Sometimes my approach is critical of some widely assumed systems of thought. More often I attempt to share new learnings of recent years which I have found more satisfying for my own journey. Please do not think that they are “final answers” for our quest. Otherwise it would not be a “journey”. I invite you to join with me on this journey.
The “In Word” part of this web site, of course, has a double meaning. It refers to language orientation through writing, reading and mental reflections. Hopefully, what I write will be used by the Spirit of God to instill hope and aspiration to you. Moreover, the “In Word” refers to where you will discover spiritual benefits for your life - to the realm “inward” - to that inner consciousness which awaits our exploration. Through such exploration you will be enabled to create many expressions in your outer life that will reflect the “kingdom of God that is within you”.
Moreover, I am a believer in Jesus Christ - not only as a first century Jew whose life and death has ramifications for all humanity, but more importantly, as the resurrected Lord who has opened up the entire universe (visible and invisible) for our exploration. Through His Spirit I am coming to know better not only God as transcendent (over all) but also as immanent (in all) and also as relational (through all).
