Play Ultimate in the Bay Area
Ultimate Frisbee is a field sport that combines elements of soccer, basketball, and football for fast paced fun. The Bay Area Ultimate Society invites both women and men, experienced and novice to come and play with us.
The Sport of Ultimate
Ultimate is a non-contact sport played by seven player teams whose objective is to score by advanceing the frisbee (disc) into the opponents endzone. The disc must be advanced in the air and the reciever must establish pivot foot and throw the disc within ten seconds. If the disc hits the ground, flys out of bounds or is intercepted a change of possession occurs. One of the most unusual aspects of the sport is the Spirit of the Game
Spirit of the Game
Ultimate has traditionally relied upon a spirit of sportsmanship which places the responsibility for fair play on the player himself. This sport is seklf refereed even at the highest levels of play. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of the bond of mutual respect between players, adherence to agreed upon rules of the game, or the basic joy of play. Such actions as taunting, dangeropus play, intentional fouling, and other "win at all costs" play must be avoided.
Bay Area Fall Ultimate League
The fall ultimate league begins Nov. 12th; however late entries are encouraged. League play will occur on Wed. and Thurs. nights. Teams are co-ed and everyone regardless of experience level are encouraged to participate.

Open Team Practice
The Bay Area Open Team travels to invitational tournaments in the Spring and Fall. November through January are off season months; however, pick-up games are continuing on Teus, 7:30pm and Sun, 10:00am at USF Intramural Fields. Call Jeff, Emily, or Mike @ (813)239-1132 for more information.
Womens Team Practice
The Bay Area Women's Team are nationally ranked and travel to invitational tournaments in the spring and fall.
