Materials:
* Sport Wt. Yarn in any color -- approx 3oz
* Size E crochet hook

Gauge: 4 sts & 3 1/4 rows = 1"

Fits Bible size 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Main Piece:
Ch 34
1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * dc in next ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * across, ch 2, turn. (33sts)
2: * Sc in next dc, dc in next sc. Repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn.
3: * Dc in next sc, sc in next dc. Repeat from * across. Ch 2, turn.
4 - 38: Repeat rows 2 and 3.
At end of row 38 fasten off and weave in ends.

Flaps (make 2):
Ch 34.
1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 2, turn. (33sts)
2: Dc in each st across, ch 1, turn.
3: Sc in each st across, ch 2, turn.
4 - 11: Repeat rows 2 & 3.
At end of row 11 fasten off and weave in ends.

Place flaps at either end on top of main piece. Pin pieces together (lightly press if needed).
To join pieces:
Attach yarn on edge in any st in center. Ch 1, sc in each st, working along edges; (through both thicknesses when needed) making 2 sc in each corner.
Join with sl st. Fasten off and weave in ends.
