Materials:
* Sugar`n`Cream 100% cotton worsted wt. yarn
(I used White and Blueberry) You
will need two
separate balls of the blue.
(Or whatever color you choose :-)
* 14" size 8 knitting needles
Towel is about 17" long when buttoned.
Cast on 60sts.
Row 1: (K1, P1) across
Row 2: (P1, K1) across
Odd Rows 3 - 9: Repeat Row 1
Even Rows 4 - 10: Repeat Row 2
Odd Rows 11 - 59: (K1, P1) 4 times; Change to White; K 44, Change to Blue, (K1,
P1) across.
Even Rows 12 - 60: (P1, K1) 4 times; Change to White; P 44, Change to Blue,
(P1, K1) across. Fasten off White and second ball of blue at end of Row 60.
Row 61: Now with blue; (K1, P1) 4 times; K 44, (K1, P1) 4 times.
Even Rows 62 - 66: (P1, K1) across
Odd Rows 63 - 67: (K1, P1) across
Row 68: (P2 tog, K2 tog) across. (30 sts)
Rows 69 & 71: (K1, P1) across.
Row 70: (P1, K1) across.
Row 72: (P2 tog, K2 tog) across. (15 sts)
Rows 73 - 105: (K1, P1) across.
Row 106: (K1, P1) 4 times, Bind Off next st., (for buttonhole); (K1, P1)
across.
Row 107: (K1, P1) to bound off st, YO, (P1, K1) across.
Rows 108 - 110: (K1, P1) across
Row 111: (K1, P2 tog) across
Row 112: (K1, P2 tog) 3 times, K1
Bind Off.
