Dishcloth Angels

Pattern is to be used for personal use only.

Materials:
* worsted wt cotton yarn
* crochet hook size G
* for angel #2: a 1" plastic ring


Angel #1
(head)
1: Ch4, join with sl st to form ring.
2: Ch1 (counts as first sc), work 11sc in ring. Join with sl st to first st. (12sc).
3: Ch1, sc in same st, 2sc in remaining stitches. (24sc)
4: Ch1 (counts as first st), sc in next 9sc, (ch3, skip next sc, sc in next st) 7 times; sl st into first st.

(wings)
Work in back loops only for rows 5-8.
5: Ch1 (counts as first st), sc in next sc, * 3sc in next sc (3sc group made), sc in next 2 sc; repeat from * once; 3sc group in next sc; 2sc in next sc. Ch1-turn. (17sts)
6: (Chain 1 counts as first st) Sc in next 2 sc, 3sc group in next sc, sc in next 4sc, 3sc group in next sc, sc in next 4sc, 3sc group in next sc, sc in next 3sc. Ch1, turn. (23sc)
7: Sc in each sc across working a 3sc group in center sc of each 3sc group. Turn.
8: Ch2 (first hdc made); hdc in next 4 sc, 3hdc group in next sc, hdc in next 8sc, 3hdc group in next sc, hdc in next 8 sc; 3hdc group in next sc, hdc in last 5 sc. Fasten off.

(body)
Work in both loops from now on.
9: Join yarn in 6th st from center group. Ch2 (first hdc made), hdc in next 6hdc, 3hdc group in next hdc, hdc in next 7hdc. Ch2, turn.
10: With ch2 counting as first hdc; hdc across to center of 3hdc group, 3hdc group in center hdc, hdc to end of row, ch2 turn (19hdc).
11- 18: Repeat row 10. (At end of row 18 you should have 35hdc)
19: Ch1, turn. Sc in same st, (ch3, skip next st, sc in next st) 8 times. Sc-ch2-sc in center hdc, (ch3, skip next st, sc in next st) 8 times, sc in last st.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Angel #2

(head)
1: Work 24sc over plastic ring. Join with a sl st.
2: Ch1 (counts as first sc), sc in next 9sc, (ch3, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 7 times, sl st into first st.
3: Now work rows 5 - 19 of Angel #1.
