Grammy`s Star

Materials:

Size 5 steel crochet hook

Size 10 crochet thread

Size:

Small star is 2 3/8” wide

Larger star is 3 ½” wide.

Ch 5; join with sl st to form a ring.

1: Ch 3, 2dc in ring, ch 2, (3 dc in ring-ch2) four more times. Join

     with a sl st to top of beginning ch 2.

2: Sl st across next 3 dc into next sp. Ch 3, 2 dc in same sp; ch 2; 3 dc

    in same sp; ch 1, *(3dc-ch2-3dc) in next ch 2 space, ch 1. Repeat

    from * 4 times. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3.

3: Sl st across & into next sp. Ch 3, 3 tc in same sp, ch 2, 2tc-1dc in same

    space, ch 3, sc in next ch 1 space, ch 3, *(dc-2tc-ch2-2tc-dc) in next

    ch 2 space, ch 3, sc in next ch 1 space, ch 3. Repeat from * four times.

    Join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3.

    At this point your star is 2 3/8” wide. Fasten off if you want the smaller

size star. For the larger star; continue with row 4.

4: Sl st into ch 2 space. Ch 3, 2 tc-ch2-2tc-dc in same space, ch 6, sc in

    next sc, ch 6, *(dc-2tc-ch2-2tc-dc) in next ch 2 space, ch 6, sc in next

    sc, ch 6. Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to top of beginning ch 3.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
