Sized for Ladies average/Ladies large Men's size average Materials: *Approx. 3 oz of worsted wt. yarn *set of 4 - #6 double pointed needles * set of 4 - #7 dpt needles for ladies large * set of 4 - #8 dpt needles for men's *2 stitch markers *1 stitch holder For Ladies sizes: With #6 needles CO 34 sts Divide onto 3 needles K1, P1 for 16 rows Switch to #7 needles if making ladies large, for average just continue with the #6 needles. 1-7: K 8: K 16, place marker, increase in each of next 2 sts, K16. Slip markers as you come to them. 9: K 10: K16, increase in next st, K2, increase in next st, K16 11: K 12: K16, inc in next st, K4, inc in next st, K16 13: K 14: K16, inc in next st, K6, inc in next st, K16 15: K 16:K16, inc in next st, K8, inc in next st, K16 17-19: K 20: K 28 - removing markers. Place last 12 sts worked onto stitch holder. K 16 21-24: K 25-28: (For ladies large change back to #6 needles now) K1, P1 Bind off in K1, P1 rib. Thumb: With #6 needles - divide the 12 sts on the stitch holder onto 3 needles, pick up one st at thumb joining. (13sts) 1: K 2: K, dec 1 st. 3-4: K1, P1 5: Bind off in K1, P1 rib. Weave in loose ends.
Men`s version With #6 needles CO38 sts Divide onto 3 needles K1, P1 rib for 15 rows. Switch to #8 needles 1-8: K 9:K18, place marker; increase in each of next 2 sts, place marker; K 18. 10: K 11: K 18, inc in next st, K2, increase in next st; K18 12: K 13: K 18; inc in next st, K4, inc in next st, K18 14: K 15: K 18, inc in next st, K6, inc, K18 16: K 17: K 18, inc, K8, inc, K18 18: K 19: K 18, inc, K10, inc, K18 20: K 21: K 32 (remove markers), slip last 14 sts onto stitch holder, K18. 22-25: K Switch to #6 needles 26-29: K1, P1 Bind off in K1, P1 With #6 needles divide the 14 sts on the stitch holder onto 3 needles; picking up 1 st in thumb joining to make 15 sts. 1-2: K 3-5: K1, P1 Bind off in K1, P1 Weave in loose ends.
