Pattern is to be used for personal use only.

Materials:

*About 7 oz. worsted wt. yarn

*Size J Crochet Hook

Size: 20 ¼” wide by 23 ¼” long

This is also a good size for a small pet or a baby doll.

Loosely chain 76.

1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook & each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (75 sts)

2: Sc in 1st st (same st as ch 1). (ch 1-skip next st-sc in next st)

across ending with a sc in last st. Ch 1, turn.

3: Sc in 1st st; (ch 1-skip next ch 1 sp-sc in next sc) across.

    Ch 1, turn.

4-81: Repeat row 3. At end of row 81 do not turn.

82: Ch 2, sc in same sp as ch 2. (counts as a sc-ch1) Sc around

edges of blanket. (working 1 sc in ends of each row, sc-ch1-sc

in each corner, sc in each loop of unworked loops of starting

chain; and a sc in each sc and sp of last row.)

Join with a sl st to 1st ch of beginning ch 2.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.

You could work a few more rows of sc around edges for a wider

border. (keep in mind you will need a bit more yarn)

For a larger blankie; chain a larger number that is divisible by two. I

originally designed a larger blanket like this for my daughter and usually

started with a base chain of 280 to 300.
