These are nice done in holiday colors; like red, white and blue for July 4th or red and green, etc, for Christmas.
Materials: worsted wt. yarn, crochet hook size G
Size is
about 5" from point to point
Instructions:
Ch3, join with sl st to
form ring. Ch2 (counts as first hdc), work 9hdc in ring.
1: Ch1:
*2hdc-ch2-2hdc in next hdc, skip next hdc, repeat from * 4 more times, join with
a sl st at top of first hdc.
2: Ch1, turn. Skip next hdc, * sc in next
hdc, 2sc-ch2-2sc in next ch2 space (point of star); sc in next hdc, skip 2hdc,
repeat from * around. Join with a sl st.
3: Ch1, turn. Skip next sc, *hdc
in each of next 2sc, 2hdc-ch2-2hdc in point; hdc in next 2sc, skip next 2sc,
repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of first hdc.
4: Ch2, turn.
Hdc in next 4hdc, *2hdc-ch2-2hdc in point; hdc in next 8hdc, repeat from * 3
more times. 2hdc-ch2-2hdc in point, hdc in next 3hdc, join with sl st.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Star Magnet
To make a matching magnet, fasten off after
working row 2. Glue a bit of magnetic strip to back of
star.
