It
seems that the painting first appeared as the cover of the TSR novel, Red
Sands. The book's authors are Paul B. Thompson and Tonya R. Carter.
The novel was published in 1988.
My use of
the image and the DragonLance world of Krynn as the historical setting
for my character are in no way meant as a challenge to TSR's
nor Clyde Caldwell's copyrights.
I have been
an avid reader and fan of the DragonLance and Forgotten Realms worlds since
sixth grade.
