My first computer was a Commodore-64. I got it for Christmas when I was seven. I had it for a long time. In seventh-grade, I went around on Q-Link as "GhostCat" but I never found Q-Link's fabled Red Dragon Inn (the precursor, so I'm told, of AOL's area). I ended up running a ("huge") $40.00 bill one month, so my parents canceled it. :-(
I became
an AOL member in April 1994 (paying for
it with my OWN money!), and found the Red
Dragon Inn soon after. I roleplayed a red-robed mage from the
DragonLance world of Krynn, who later became a lich, until I created Janella
in late 1996. I tried the Duel
of Swords a few months later, and found the Duel
of Fists as well. In February 1998, I joined the Red
Dragon Inn Forum's staff (then known as the Free Form Gaming Forum)
as a caller in the Duel of Fists, and I still look forward to hosting every
week. Sometimes, I get the courage up enough to venture into the
actual Red Dragon Inn - wild and full of 'adventure' as it is these
days - in my RDI uniform.
