Hints and Tricks

Hint: Stay wide when heading into turns, or else you might not make the turn. Doing this also helps prevent hitting the inside of the corner when turning too soon.

Hint: Some tracks have shorcuts that you can take to get ahead. One example is a hole in a barrier wall. Be sure you have the antifriction powerup when taking shorcuts.

Trick: If there is somebody behind you, you can get a boost from them by letting them hit you when the light turns green at the starting line.

Hint: There is a track that has a small side track away from the main that has a heart on it, look for it on one of the the Country Dirt Tracks.

Trick: If you hold down accelerate for the right period of time before the light turns green you will take off very fast the instant you are given the green light. Don't hold it for too long before the green light, or you will spin out and you won't move for a while. Experiment with this, it is different for each cart and track.

Hint: Try not to run into the back of another cart, doing so will not only stop you but will also give the other cart a boost.

Hint: Don't try to turn very sharp while moving at high speeds, this will cause you to spin out, and you will have to speed back up from dead stop.
