Hint: Hammers can attack more than one target. They keep flying around until all enemies have been destroyed.
Hint: Fighters have trouble aiming at you if you keep moving around.
Trick: If something is shooting at you, but you can't see what it is, try to locate where the shots are comming from and then aim your crosshairs at that point. Then use a weapon to take the enemy target out.
Hint: Mines have a large blast area, use them in dense clusters of enemies (this is in the manual).
Hint: You can shoot Destroyers that are on top of the water even though you can't get above water. Just aim your crosshairs up and fire listening for a hit, use your radar to help you position yourself.
Trick: If you position your War-Griffon to where it is just touching the water and move around, you get a splashing splashing effect, like a boat. Not much use, but it's interesting.
Hint: Drones can pass through force fields and grab power ups that you can't normally reach, they can also set off energy and speed rings (this is also in the manual).
Hint: Planet cloakers are most often on planets with detonators, but not always.
Trick: Turrents and tanks that fire shots are slow to adjust to your changes in altitude. Sometimes you can get high enough that they won't be able to shoot you if you are close enough (at least while you take them out).
Trick: The range of your cruise bombs is longer than the range of missle turrnets. Get them to where they are just barely visible on the horizon and then use your cruise bombs (difficulty on Medium).
Hint: Read the Hints and Tips section in the manual, it will be time well spent.
Hint: Ehanced Scanning and Rapid Fire power ups are often very near the entry point.
Hint: Don't think decoys aren't important, when you start playing on the High difficulty setting you'll find they come in real handy. 2/20/96
Trick: When there are lots of enemies around, first send out a decoy to distract them, and then use hammers to get rid of them. This is especially effective against multiple tanks and turrents. 2/20/96
Hint: Each type of enemy has it's own attack pattern, if you learn their patterns, you can concentrate on the ones that are about to attack you while the others move away. 2/20/96
Hint: Be careful while near the ground in places were there are lots of Fodder (the blue, squid-like things). Though they are harmless, they cause a lot of dammage when they ram you, and groups of them just seem to end up hitting you in areas where they are densely concentrated. 2/26/96
These hints have been read times since Feb 1, 1996.
