The collection of songs on this album is truly timeless, and yet each tells a story of special moments: some melodies dating back to the turn of this century, some very recent. They all suggest the values and sentimentality of the generation that first fashioned an accolade to the future - the 1939 World's Fair. Here is our launching point for a musical voyage through time. September Song - Perhaps the most poignant song about passing years and changing times. A Kiss to Build a Dream On - Our imagination will make these moments live. An upbeat, 'New Orleans' version of a great jazz ballad. A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square - A special night when romance began. A moonlit walk that lasts forever. Time After Time- Always lucky to be loving someone. Always nice to remind each other of that love. I'd Like to be Back With You - In the tradition of the '39 Fair's "Hot Mikado" stage show, here is a tribute to Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong penned by our horn player Bernard Lee who is featured on vocal. If only that timeless entertainer could be back one more time! I'll Take Romance - Never out of fashion. If I had my way I'd take romance - every time. As Long as She Needs Me - We travel the superhighway to 1960, The idea of staying together through life's challenges is beautifully expressed in this ballad from "Oliver". Time On My Hands - A swinging version of this romantic dance number evoking black & white images of Fred and Ginger under a star-filled sky. Tip-toe Through the Tulips - A ubiquitous sight at the '39 Fair was the then Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, known as "the Little Flower". In honor of "His Honor," and in tribute to Tiny Tim, we offer this light-hearted trip through the garden. From the First Moment We Met - Another offering from Bernard Lee. This lovely ballad remembers first moments which last forever. L-0-V-E - The one thing humanity possesses which is eternal. Thanks to Nat King Cole, The Mills Brothers, and to each and every one of you.
