"outhouse"

This is a true story by Janet "Silks" Rowan. It happened in Derby Kansas 1946.

First Love Lost

I was a very young girl around 3 years old and I loved my stick horse. Its head was black and white just like an Indian pony. Fringe for a mane and a smile that always gave me back the love I had for it. One would almost think my horsie was

"ALIVE".

I played all the time on it and one day this older boy go hold of it and put in the old "Out house". Oh I cried so hard      until someone went in there and got it out for me.After they handed it to me, I remember looking at it and smelling it.

MY! MY it stunk!

They tried to wash it but the pump water left some "you know what" in the fringe. I took that old horsie to a peg, tied it    up and never looked back! That was how I lost my first love.
