Milwaukee, WI@Marcus Amphitheatre-June 27

"...I thought the show was packed full of energy, spirit, and a lot of fun..."

On Friday June 27th I saw Bush at the Marcus Ampitheater in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
part of summerfest, anyway to sum it up in a word it was AWESOME!!!! The two openers were "Souls" and "The Jesus Lizard". Souls had a few good moments, and a humourous attempt when the drummer got up and started taking pictures of the crowd. And well The Jesus Lizard.....what can I say at least they didn't get too disappointed when the crowd yelled things like "You Suck" or " We want Bush!". Then about 9:30 the lights dimmed the green smoke arose and the band walked on stage. The kicked things off with "A tendancy to start fires" and then went to "Personal Holloway" to "Machinehead" even though the Marcus Ampitheater is all seats no mosh pit area. We, the crowd, still found a way to form a mosh pit and body surf people around the place. All the teenage girls cheered wildly as Gavin swicthed guitars and the rest of the band took 5, while Gavin did "straight no chaser", and "glycerene" which is apparently written about Jeff Buckley. The encore started off with "swallowed" then right into "alien", "bomb", and finally a long long but pleasing version of "little things" to wrap things up with the added words "Thank you, Good night May you all sleep tight" hope to see you again, but I don't know when". I thought the show was packed full of energy, spirit, and a lot of fun! On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give Bush a 10! They did a great job!!!

"...Glycerine(which he dedicated to Jeff Buckley)..."

I was just thrilled with teh opportunity to see Bush again at Milwaukee's Summerfest. My friends and I arrived and walked around the grounds looking for fellow 23 second people. We finally met up with
them before the show. I was picked to recieve a backstage pass, but had to pick a number between 1 and 10. The girl went first choosing 6, I
chose 5 thinking I'd have better odds. I was wrong teh number was 7. I wasn't all to upset, my friends were and gave me a hard time.
When we got to our seats, I was so excited, we were in the first row to the left of the stage ! We only got to see Souls play their last song,
and saw teh Jesus Lizard, who I thought rocked. During the Jesus Lizard show, I spotted Gavin and Gwen dancing to the musci, they seemed to be
enjoying it.
Bush took the stage, I was totally into it. I've seen them before, but this thime was different. They opened with Tendancy to Start Fires then
Personal Holloway. After that came a wonderful version of Greedy Fly with an extended intro in which Gavin turned around and played to a
burning red cross behing him on the screen. They played a total of 17 songs. No covers all the songs were off 16stone or Razorblade. The rest of the band left about 8 songs into the set and Gavin played Straight No Chaser and Glycerine(which he dedicated to Jeff Buckley). That was real emotional. Everything Zen was just amazing.
My favorite part was during Comedown, when Gavin came down in front of us off the stage and played on his knee's. I immediatly raced twords
him. I had a sticker given to me by Bridget, that read "I am Poison Crazy Lush" As Gavin got up and looked at me he noticed the sticker and
I said you rule ! He smiled and said something like "no you rule you poison crazy lush". It was real funny I was just out of it, Ok here is one of my musical idols playing before me, someone whose guitar playing ability I totally admire. Anyway I knew that Little Things was going to be the last song, and I planned to jump onstage. The security gaurd told me I could, but he would have to throw me out, I thought that was fair. I was caught by another security gaurd on my way and he pushed me back to my seat. Gavin destroyed the strings on his green Fender Strat. Giving them away, my friend got part of one. We helped get him
backonstage I acctually got to touch his guitar and leopard guitar strap. At the end of Little things which lasted probably 10 min, Gavin kicked over all the amps behind him and thanked us for being a great audience.

Bush definatly proved themselves as a great live band !!!
