Welcome to my little place on AOL. Below are pictures of my pond that I put in in Aug of 96. I have gotten a lot of joy out of my pond. I know of nothing more relaxing and enjoyable that being outside near my pond and in my flower beds, except being with family and friends

This is a picture of my pond in Aug of 96.

This is a picture of the pond almost a year later. The pond is about 6 feet by 10 feet and is 18 to 20 inches deep.  It contains about 500 gallons of water.  I live in Ohio in zone 5. Notice the Arbor. I built it with landscaping timber and vinyl lattice.  I have a Don Juan Rose planted on one side and a pretty blue Clematis on the other.

Toby, my cat, likes to watch the fish and eat the fish food!!

I have comets and Shubunkins. Their names are Abbey, Nubbie, Whitey, Sunflower, Fred, Bacon II, Snickers, Tadpole, Little Guy, Charlie, and Spotty. Then there are the little fry--so far I have Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Little Bear, and Pretty Boy. The rest are to be named later.

Here my great nephew and 2 neices enjoy the fish.

Here is a close up of some of the fish and some of my blooming water plants. It was a rare treat to have so many in bloom at once.

I have 2 yellow and 2 pink unnamed Lilys- 2 red lilys Attraction and Burgundy Princess,bean bog, marsh marigold, spike rush, 3 iris, dwarf papyrus, umbrella palms, a chameleon plant, arrowhead, loosestrife, calla water arum, variegated four leaf water clover, yellow snowflake, water hyacinths, water lettuce, cerley, parrots feather, anacharis, and cabomba. I also have a lotus (Sharon) growing. These plants are either in my pond or in one of my two barrels. To see more pictures of the pond and my flower gardens click on the following link.
