Knots Landing

The search for a new Dallas began way back in December 1979. Hoping to ride the crest of its success, CBS spun off a new series entitled Knots Landing. This series featured Miss Ellie's other son, Gary, the black sheep of the family and a weak-willed reformed alcoholic who had deserted his wife, Valene, and then remarried her after seventeen years. As a wedding present Miss Ellie gave the newly weds a house in Knots Landing, Ca. Moving to Southern California gave Gary and Val the chance to escape the formidable pressures of life with the other Ewings.

All the principles in this new series, Sid and Karen Fairgate, Laura and Richard Avery, and Kenny and Ginger Ward were upper-middle class and lived on the same cul-de-sac of a quiet little suburban community. In addition to being neighbors, their lives intertwined in many other ways.

Surely CBS had no idea at the time that this great show would capture the hearts, actually the entire being of many, many devoted fans who would season after season, for 14 years, return to see their Knots.

Welcome to my Knots Landing site. I will Always and Forever be a Knots Fan. Like all the other fans of this great show, I have put an awful lot of work into this site.  I hope you enjoy it!
