Here is my car, a 78 MustangII hatchback with a few modifications.
My name is Kurt Stehr, Iive in Marietta,Ga., which is a suburb of Atlanta. I am married, my wife Kathie, and we have four boys between us ( ages 13,16,19,24). I work locally for a machine shop, as a EDM operator. EDM standing for electrical discharge machining, if you want more info, check out the site. Some work we do is for the big boys, who build cars for NASCAR. Picked up a few pointers on how they get 700 hp from their 302.
My car sat in my driveway for two years, tired V6 and no money. I bought it four years ago for $300, pretty good deal. So I bought a wrecked 84 Mustang GT 5.0, with a 5 speed for $800. In October of 97, I started the transformation taking the engines and trannys out. I also paid $800 for an exhaust system, done by Grand Muffler in Marietta,Ga. Here is some more info on my StangII
Engine: 84 5.0 V8 ( 302 for those that are not sure)
Holley 4 bbl.
351W heads
Cam ( not sure which one)
14" electric fan
Exhaust:Flowtech shorty headers
Flowmaster dual chambers
3" pipe thru out

T5 5speed
Rear end (stock) 2.79:1 ?
How do you like the plastic hood scoop? I have one ordered from MAS Products. I'm still having trouble keeping her from running hot, not sure if radiator is big enough. I'll have to keep working on that, because I'm losing alot of horsepower with the timing retarded( only 6-8 BTDC ). I'll have to do something about my upper radiator hose, Ill think of something. The only thing I can afford now, is strengthen the frame. I'll probably make my own subframe connectors, since I never found any in any catalogs.
