KAIROS MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Five Ways You Can Help
1. PRAYER - Please pray daily for the Kairos Team Members, The 42 new candidates who God has selected to attend the Kairos Weekend, and the Kairos Inside Ministery Team. We also appreciate your prayers for the men and women who run the institution. Sign up for the 72 hour prayer vigil to pray during the Kairos Weekend.
2. AGAPE LETTERS - Many of the 42 who are chosen to attend the Kairos Weekend have never received a letter. A brief note of love and encouragement is all that is needed, but we need them in groups of 42. Have a agape letter writing party, have your church, Sunday school class, or your prayer and share group write, and then put them in groups of 42.
Address the letters to "Dear Brother In Christ". Letters from the children especially touch their hearts. You can send the letters to the Kairos CIM East address. Agape from the Emmaus and Crusillo Communities is WELCOMED also.
3. CLOSING CEREMONY - This is held on the last day of the 3-day Kairos Weekend (Sunday Afternoon) in the family visiting area of the prison. It is a time when the 42 will tell you how God touched their hearts and what they plan to do with what they have experienced. The men are not aware that 100 people from the Christian Community are waiting to greet them with Christ's Agape Love. Blessings abound. Check the box on the Sponsor Information Form to be contacted about signing up for the next Closing Ceremony at CIM East.
4. AGAPE FROM CHILDREN - Have Sunday school children color shields (special pictures for the weekend) and write a special note on the back of the picture, including their first name and age. God's little children say the most touching things and the men treasure these shields. Let us know where to send a copy of the shield so you can have the children color them.

Kairos is financed by people who volunteer their time to work on the Kairos team. Nationally, Kairos is administered by only one paid employee, all others donate their time and money to this ministry. In California, Kairos serves in eight state and federal institutions. The average cost for a Kairos 3-day weekend is $4.000. at CIM East. Kairos does not receive any money from state or federal agencies. Your financial support will help us continue this worthwhile ministry.
Kairos in Southern California will minister to 420 inmates, all for less than the cost of keeping one inmate incarcerated for a year!
