This Bakery protected by the goddess Flora

Flora painting

As you may know, Flora is the Roman Goddess of flowering plants. And not especially to protect bakeries from catching fire. But since I carry her name, we hope she'll protect us anyway.

I've searched for some more information about her, but all I can find are things about the Greek Gods, and to what Roman god they're comparable. But there isn't any of them who links to Flora. Perhaps Persophone, since she has something to do with flowers. But in Greek mythology she's married to Hades and as far as I know Flora has nothing to do with the Roman god of the underworld. Nor is she the daughter of the Godess of farming, which Persephone is.

Some say Flora was a nymph, married to the god of the western winds, who granted her the dominion over flowering plants as token of his love for her. But I don't know for sure.

If you happen to know something more about her, please tell me!
