Kim's FAQs (well, some of them)

So many people have been emailing me with questions, that I thought it might be a good idea to add a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Page about myself. However, don't expect me to reveal everything about myself...after all, a girl has to retain some air of mystery about herself!

Q: Age?
A: Thirtysomething.

Q: Where are you from?
A: Lancashire in the North-West of England.

Q: Height?
A: 5"10.

Q: What dress size are you?
A: Usually, UK Size 14, but I can wear quite alot of Size 12 clothes too

Q: Do you consider yourself TV, CD, TG, TS or what?
A: I am transgendered. I am not TS, and I never refer to myself as CD. I am a TV purely and simply because I'm trangendered! By definition I'm a TV because I dress as a female, but I only dress as a female because I'm transgendered. In fact, I consider myself to be bigendered in the same way that other people consider themselves to be bisexual. Genderwise and psychologically I'm equally as female as I am male. When I dress I'm all woman!

Q: How long have you been dressing?
A: On and off since I was about thirteen.

Q: Favourite lipstick? (other Tgirls ask this one).
A: At the moment, Very Berry by Cover Girl.

Q: Favourite nail polish? (again, other Tgirls ask this one).
A: At the moment, Turbo Red by L'Oreal (matches the above shade of lipstick).

Q: Do you prefer wearing dresses or skirts? (girls and guys ask this question equally, I'd say).
A: I have absolutely no preference. I adore wearing both (but not at the same time, obviously).

Q: Do you prefer wearing tights (pantihose to my American visitors) or stockings? (hmmm, it's almost always guys who ask me this one).
A: Tights/pantihose are more convenient so I usually wear those, but I love wearing stockings.

Q: Do you take hormones?
A: No.

Q: Do you intend taking hormones?
A: No.

Q: Do you dress full-time?
A: No - I think my employers would have a thing or two to say if I turned up for work wearing high heels and lipstick!

Q: Well, do you dress full-time when not at work?
A: No, I have no problems with my male half whatsoever...the only problem I have is Society's lack of acceptance of my female half. My male half is fine, but you're not here to read about him, you want to find out more about her!

Q: Do you get some kind of sexual thrill from dressing?
A: It's been years since I did. I suppose I did as a teenager, but then, watching the News probably got me hot as well lol. Nowadays, it's purely emotional. It's a feeling of belonging when I'm with my femme friends. I don't have to repress my female self with them. I can truely be myself.

Q: What advice can you pass on to others?
A: Four peices of advice...first of all, if you're transgendered accept it and stop fighting it; you can't, you're made that way! Secondly, join a local TG Group, if at all possible (it was the best thing I ever did regarding this side of me). Third, find your own look...your own style. If you're truely TG you'll want to dress just like any other woman (which gives you a massive choice) and not like some second rate drag queen. Don't be what I call a "one-note-dresser", ie a tv who only ever dresses in ONE style... use all the options open to a girl to dress appropriately in order to to blend in with other women, depending on where you are and what you're doing. Last but not least, be as natural as possible and remember Less Is More.

Well, that's enough FAQs for the time being. If you want to know more about me you'll just have to email me!
