     Kirkpatrick Scales, Inc. was founded in 1969 by Van Kirkpatrick. Van started in the scale business as a service technician for the Fairbanks-Morse scale company. He started his own scale company around the motto "To service is to sell", and this attitude is still the cornerstone of Kirkpatrick Scales. We have a combined service experience totalling over half a century and factory training on scales manufactured by Fairbanks, Toledo, Weigh-Tronix, Howe Richardson, StreeterAmet and others. We have the means to service almost all makes and models.

     In order to stay ahead of the competition, we do several things "in house" that the others cannot offer. We have engineers on staff with the capabilities of designing a system to match your needs instead of trying to fit your application to our scales. We also have construction capabilities. This means that when we sell you a truck scale "turnkey", Kirkpatrick Scales is selling you not just a package of work done by other contractors who don't always know the necessity of a well done foundation, but an entire job done by Kirkpatrick Scales personnel. Kirkpatrick Scales also has the capabilities of fabricating scales. This not only saves you money on the product itself, but on the freight charges also.

     Our sales department is staffed by factory trained personnel who are an integral part of the decision making process on what scales that we choose to sell. It seems that everyone is manufacturing a digital indicator these days, Kirkpatrick Scales selects the brands they choose to sell on the following criteria:

1) Product Quality- The product that we sell reflects directly on us. If the quality is excellent, they you will keep calling us.
2) Supplier Reliability- We don't represent a product line if there isn't sufficient experience by that company in the weighing field. Field support for the product is essential for our servicemen to give you the least amount of downtime possible.
3) Total Cost- Price is a relative consideration dependent on both performance and initial cost. You deserve the best product with the best service for the least amount of expense.
