Pleasant Hill cemetery has a WOODLEY plot, with a large marker with
the name WOODLEY in the center. Several Woodleys are buried there, including
Ann FARLEY, wife of Abraham WOODLEY, who died Sept 22, 1864. Also in this
plot are several KISNERs, including Sarah A. KISNER (1863-19bb), William
L. KISNER (1862-1938), Margaret KISNER (1897-1917), and Walter L. KISNER
(1894-1953). Although I am primarily interested in the Woodley line, I
am
curious as to where the KISNER line fits in. I suspect the KISNERS
married in to a grand daughter of Abraham Woodley but have no documentation.

make this connection. Many thanks.

MILLER - I would like assistance on obtaining any information that is
available on Daniel and Rebecca MILLER - birth, death and marriage dates/locations,
parentage, descendants and burial location. I have uncovered only
two known facts about their lives:
1) They had a son, Jared (Sept 1834 - Feb 1904), from Moreland Township,
Lycoming County, who is buried in the Moreland Lutheran Cemetery.
Jared is my great-great-grandfather. It is from Jared's second marriage
license that the names of Daniel and Rebecca were revealed.
2) According to Jared's 1880 census record, his parents were both born
in Pennsylvania I am also acting under the assumption at this point that
this Daniel is the one listed on the 1840 Census as residing in Muncy Creek
Township, Lycoming Co., PA. That record shows that he was a farmer and
had a total of 5 members in his household: (1) himself, between 30 and
40 years of age; (2) a woman, presumably Rebecca, between 30 and 40 years
of age; (3) a male between 5 and 10 years of age, presumably Jared; (4)
a male under five years of age, presumably a younger brother; and, (5)
a female between 5 and 10 years of age, presumably a daughter and most
likely an older sister to Jared. I have found no deeds, burial records
or any other census records on this family. I am hoping that if this brother
married and had a family, he may still have descendants in central Pennsylvania,
or that others who have done research on early Miller families in central
Pennsylvania may have one or more of these individuals listed.
A summary of known information follows:
Daniel Miller (b. bet. 1799-1811, PA), believed to be a farmer, married
Rebecca ______ (b. bet. 1799-1811, PA). They were most likely married
between 1817 and 1832. They are presumed to have at least three children:
a daughter, (b. bet. 1830-1833); a son Jared b. Sep. 1834, d. Feb. 22,
1904, buried Moreland Twp., Lycoming Co.; and a son (b. bet. 1836-1840).
Jared was married twice and had families to each spouse; some of these
families have been extensively researched while little is known about others.
Any leads or information would be most appreciated.

Trying to trace my father's family (SHOOK/SEITZER). On the SHOOK side,
back from Jasper H. SHOOK, b. Mar 1864; d. Jul 1946; m. Alice Elizabeth
McBRIDE, b. Jul 1862; d. Jun 1949. His father was William A. SHOOK, b.
1840; d. ____; m. Catherine MARSHALL, b. l845; d. (unknown). His father,
I believe, was Benjamin SHOOK, b. 1812; d. (unknown); m. Mary COHICK b.
1810; d. Jan 1852. I would like to know Benjamin's father and mother and
siblings. In the 1790 Census I found a John SHOOK in Northumberland County
and a Jacob SHOOK in Chester County. Wondering if either of them are ancestors
of Benjamin SHOOK.
On the SEITZER side, back from Charles SEITZER, b. Mar 1860; d. Dee
1901; m. Anna ARMSTRONG, b. Apr 1862; d. 1946. His father
was George SEITZER b. 1805 in Weidenberg, Germany; d. in the l860's in
Lycoming County; m. Elizabeth (unknown). Following George's death, Elizabeth
SEITZER married William Wise. I believe George SEITZER is the son
of Frederick SEITZER who came to Bloomsburg, PA from Weidenberg in 1823.
Need information on Frederick SEITZER - b.; d.; whom he married and number
of children.
I would be most appreciative of any information or suggestions that
might help me fill in the blanks and know from where and when the SHOCKS
originally
came to Pennsylvania. Also any additional information as to the SEITZERS.
Many thanks to anyone who might be willing to share this information.

I am searching for information on Daniel Bugh, born 16 August 1819 in Whitedeer township, Union County, Pennsylvania. He married Susan Lockard, born 22 January 1824 in Sussex County, New Jersey and later moved to Lycoming County, PA. They had 13 children Jeremiah, Norman, and Alexander were born in Hughesville, PA. John, Delos and Daniel Elias were born in Lockport, New York. Huldah and Mary were born in Pendleton, New York. Thadeus was born in Freeport, Illinois. Dennis, Amanda, Robert and Francis were born in Iowa.
I believe that Daniel Bugh's parents where John Bugh, born 22 October
1785 in Berks County, Pennsylvania and Elizabeth Moser. John died
14 May 1868 and Elizabeth died 22 December 1867. Both are buried
in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hughesville, Pennsylvania. I have the
will of John Bugh and it lists 9 children: Abraham, George, Daniel,
John, Susanna (Burrows), Mary (Kramer), Catherine (Greenburg), Elizabeth
(Hardref) and Henry. Abraham was born in Union County, PA, married Mary
____and both are buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. George married Mary
____ and both are buried in Pleaseant Hill Cemetery. John and Henry
both appear in the 1850 Census in Pendleton, Niagara County, New York.
John married Eva Bennage and Henry married Mary Bennage. Eva and
Mary were sisters from Union County, Pennsylvania. All four are buried
in Lockport, New York. My Daniel also appears in this 1850 census
one page before Henry Bugh. This would suggest that he may be the
Daniel mentioned in John Bugh's (1785-1868) will and moved to New York
with his two older brothers. John and Henry remained in New York and my
Daniel appears in the 1870 Cherokee, Cherokee County, Iowa Census.
Is there anyone else researching the Bugh or related lines and have
any more information that might prove that the Daniel listed in John Bugh's
will is the same Daniel that moved to New York and then Iowa where he lived
out his last days?

I have a Elizabeth English ,born in 1754. She married to John Cole.
Born 1752. We, the Harris's and the English's do not have her tied to the
English line. I would like to find some one of the Cole family line. I
think it is a good possibility , that this Elizabeth English could be related
as a sister to James, John , William and Rebecca English. Her birth year
fit's in with the birth date's of the 4 English listed. Her children married
to all the same family line's that the rest of the English did. She
died in English Centre. Can I post this though you? John
Cole is buried in Callahan Cemetery in Cole Run.

My interest is in finding my great great grandmothers maiden name. Her
married name Rachel? ALEXANDER. She may have been a MOYER from Steamvalley
or
Bradford. Also Sarah Jane MILLER'S parents (same as my great
grand parents) she had 3 sisters never married. (1) Anne MILLER died
just before my great grandma at the Williamsport Home. (2) Haddie
MILLER of Williamsport. (3) Ellie MILLER of Bradford. I'm not
sure of their bd (birthdate?), except we think Sarah was the youngest she
was born Sept. 10 1870. As far as we know they were from the Steamvalley
area. We were told that there were relations in Williamsport, who
own the Bastian Funeral Home originally from Cogan House.

Subject: Daniel and Rebecca MILLER, 1800's.
My great-great-grandfather Jared's second marriage license identifies
his parents as Daniel and Rebecca MILLER (both born in PA). Daniel
and Rebecca would have been born around 1800. However, with the possible
exception of a census record, I have not found any trace of a couple by
this name living in Lycoming County during the early to mid 1800's.
One family has a Daniel and a Rebecca as brother and sister. The
families are believed to have lived in the Muncy Creek and Moreland Township
areas. One theory is that this Daniel may have moved with the lumbering
business or canal construction and is therefore hard to trace.
Any clues or connections out there?
