Corrections to Richard
Newport, His Book
p. 53 Add to the list of children
of Ezekiel and Rebecca Newport:
Priscilla Newport, who married
William H. "Hamilton" Williams
Lucinda Newport, who
married Phelix (Felix) Begley

p.
68 Someone e-mailed me that they believe this to be the grave of
Joseph C. Newport,
son of Ezekiel and Rebecca Newport.
Apparently, Joseph was a captain of the Scott County Home Guard
during the Civil War. Capt. John Newport was probably buried in
Lee County, Virginia where he died.
p. 74 I transposed the Byrd
brothers. It should read: Cassie Newport, married to Hoyle
Byrd.
Hattie Newport, who married Hugh Byrd, the brother of Hoyle.
I got it right in the Newport section of Descendant Story, Pages
7 & 8, at the end of the book.
Under descendants of Ralph
Seabolt and Dorothy Mabel Newport, Randel Dean BRADSHAW-001334
has
a son #22 named Damion BRADSHAW. The name Danderline BRADSHAW is
incorrect on Page 6 of
Descendant Story at the back of the
book.
p. 98 Subtitle under "The Conners" should read:
When King Richard II knighted the four kings of Ireland, one was
O'Connor and another was MacMurrough.
p. 139 Under "The
Colonial Worsham Family" first paragraph should read:
. . .
Martha Eppes was married to John Wayles. . . . President Jefferson's
Uncle, Field Jefferson,
was married to another Worsham descendant,
Mary Frances Robertson, daughter of
Rev. George Robertson and
Mary Worsham.
Please let me know of any other verifiable
corrections. Thanks!!
