Motherlove is owned and operated by Renee Kendall. Renee is a certified natural childbirth educator of the Bradley Method® of childbirth. She obtained her certification from the American Academy of Husband-Coached Childbirth after an extensive program including a 12 book reading and research academic package, a four day intensive teacher training workshop, and a provisional teaching period of six months (which she was able to complete in three).
Renee is also a Certified Professional Labor Assistant and attends births in any setting, whether it be home, hospital, or birth center. She works closely with both the couple and their birth attendants to help them achieve the best possible birth experience. She has personally experienced a cesarean section, epidurals, and a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after a cesarean section). Renee is also the chairman of a labor assistant group in Oklahoma called DACO (Doula Association Central Oklahoma) and currently leads the only cesarean support group in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, called C.A.R.E.S. Renee is also currently studying to become a direct entry midwife. Before becoming a childbirth educator, Renee was an accomplished masseuse for three years in the Edmond area.
