Gwyneth, LadyGld is of mixed blood, born of a Welsh father and Elven mother. Her father was a king, her mother a lady of another court. She grew up in Wales, along with her older sister Cathryn, protected and nurtured by her family, learning the manners of the day. Although of mixed blood, she was raised as a human, not learning anything of her Elven heritage.

While Gwyneth was yet a young girl, her sister married a king from an adjoining kingdom, White Cliffls, and left the family castle to take her place in her husband's realm.

When Gwyneth was 14, she was promised in marriage to Sir Thomas Burton, a knight and prince who would ascend to the throne of Houndstooth Castle. Sir Thomas was a much older man with grown children. He claimed his bride when Gwyneth was 16 and took her to live at Houndstooth Castle. Almost immediately following their wedding, Sir Thomas left her to join King Richard Lionheart on one of his crusades to the Holy Land. Sir Thomas was killed in battle, leaving Gwyneth a queen and a very young widow with a rather poor kingdom to care for.

In the meantime, Cathryn's husband had died, leaving her White Cliffs Castle. Cathryn went to visit Gwyneth at Houndstooth and together they decided she should stay for awhile so they could grieve their husbands' deaths. Thus began a year of mourning for the sisters. Houndstooth was an impoverished castle, so the sisters turned the cellar into a tavern and took in boarders to keep the castle running. Evenings would find the sisters at a corner table by the fireplace, greeting patrons of the tavern and greeting guests needing lodging.

As Cathryn's year of mourning ended, she met King Jonas Curran of Kingdom of the Eagle. Jonas courted Cathryn and they wed; Jonas taking Cathryn to his realm, leaving Gwyneth alone.

Shortly before Cathryn met Jonas, Gwyneth was in RhyDin attempting to recruit knights for Houndstooth when she met Sylvan Windfall, a wanderer. She invited him back to Houndstooth where he met Jonas and Cathryn. Intrigued, he agreed to be first knight of Houndstooth and was knighted by Cathryn.

Following his knighting, Sylvan left that kingdom on his rounds to make sure Houndstooth was kept safe. Gwyneth promptly forgot him, until, one day, she saw Sylvan from a distance. Their eyes met and they smiled to each other. For days after that, it seemed everywhere she looked, Sylvan was there, watching her. One morn, upon waking, she sat at her desk and looked at her missives. Lying atop the missives was a single, red rose. She picked up the message beside the rose and read that Sylvan wished to court her. Gwyneth sent a missive in reply telling him that she was still in mourning. He accepted this graciously and bided his time until the mourning period ended, whereupon he proposed to her and she accepted him.

One horrible eve, Cathryn accused Gwyneth of trying to kill her and together, Sylvan and Gwyneth went to Kingdom of the Eagle to face Cathryn. A terrible scene ensued and Sylvan resigned his post as first knight, taking Gwyneth away with him. He lead her to a ruined castle named Windfall for his family. There he told her of how the castle came to be in ruins.

"Gwyeth," quoth he, "I am Sylvan Windfall, King of Castle Windfall. Together we will rebuild this realm and we shall rule over it."

Sylvan kept busy overseeing his realm, only occasionally returning to see his betrothed who, with the help of mages and wizards had restored Windfall to its former magnificence. On one of these occasions, they impulsively sought a priest and were wed. Again, Sylvan was busy on quests, seeking out evil and destroying it wherever it was found.

A few months later, Sylvan came home, and taking Gwyneth by the hand led her to the portal of an abyss underneath Windfall. Kissing his wife goodbye and then handing her his ring to keep safe for him, he entered the portal to the abyss to search for his friends who had been lost in the abyss years earlier. No sooner had he entered the portal than the earth began to shake and the wall collapsed, sealing him inside, alive. Days later, after an all out search failed to locate his body, Gwyneth sat in the ruins of the wall, writing to her friends of her husband's death. Sending the missives by courier, she rose to her feet and walked away from the castle, not looking back.

In her wanderings, Gwyneth happened upon Camelot Court run by Sir BernladdD. He was kind enough to give her shelter. There she met Bigimus, a woodsman. BernladdD decided he no longer wanted Camelot Court and gave it to Bigimus, who, not being of noble birth, gave it to Gwyneth. Together, they began building the court until, one day, a man arrived at the court declaring he was Bigimus' brother, Khadger. Handing Bigimus a scroll, he bade Bigimus farewell. Upon reading the scroll, Bigimus discovered that this man was his brother who had been trying to find him for many years. Contained in the scroll was information that led him to learn that Gwyneth was his sister. Immediately upon learning this and seeing the scroll, Gwyneth stepped down as ruler of Camelot Court, giving the court to Bigimus.

Gwyneth, free of the responsibility of running a court, began visiting other kingdoms, making new friends. Her help as a healer was ought by several. One night, she was summoned to Castle o' th' Moors to help heal several people. Unfortunately, while she was there one of those people died, but fate had already stepped in to change her life once again. One of the people injured was a man named Ceradin. Gwyneth healed him and left Moors, returnng to her home at Camelot Court. A short time later, Ceradin began to visit Camelot Court to sit and have a goblet of Elven wyne and talk with Gwyneth. Time passed and eventually Gwyneth visited Goldleaf Castle. One day, while she was at Goldleaf, Ceradin went down on one knee and proposed to Gwyneth before his court. She accepted and plans began for their wedding. But with the plans incomplete, Ceradin received news of an uprising in his father's realm and realized he must leave his kingdom for an extended period of time, so he and Gwyneth were married by Dark Emrys. A few days later, Ceradin left his bride to travel to his father's homeland to quell the uprising.

During Ceradin's absence, Gwyneth kept Goldleaf running, welcoming visitors to the court, adding new members. One of the people to join the court was James Folior. Recognizing his abilities, she asked him to be the seneschal and he accepted. He did very well in this position, welcoming visitors, running the court, and, when necessary, defending it. In a ceremony at Goldleaf, Gwyneth knighted James and he became Sir James Folior.

Upon returning home 3 1/2 months later, Ceradin fought a death match and was killed. Gwyneth left Goldleaf when Ceradin's brother, Zahahn, ascended to the throne. With no place to go, she wandered the streets of RhyDin until her friend, Sir Torquemada, took her in, placing her in his home in London, eventually giving her a wing in his estate in York. As it turned out, Gwyneth could not get along with another resident of the estate and she decided to leave, returning to her brother Bigimus' castle, Chardinay.

In the meantime, Gwyneth became a diplomat for Castle o th' Moors, followed there by the ever-loyal James Folior, who became a knight of that court and her personal protector and champion.

Byron Meldrum 3, the king of Castle o' th' Moors, has charged Gwyneth with visiting the courts with which Moors is allied, and so she undertakes her assignment cheerfully.

She wed her first knight on the eve of Sunday, April 5 at 11:45 pm, EDT, in Castle o' th' Moors, King Meldrum3 performed the ceremony. She has committed her life to her husband, and he to her. After a honeymoon cruise aboard their barque, they will be at home at Eaglesmere Manor and will happily receive and welcome visitors.

She is an empath, a healer (2d20), a minor mage, and sometimes a seer.

Her coat of arms is a phoenix rising from the flames.
